The Huntington presents the 39th Annual Succulent Plants Symposium in person this year with notable speakers from around the world, diverse topics, a silent auction, and a succulent plant sale.

Kelly Griffin is a succulent plant hybridizer, propagator, and avid plant explorer. Like many of us, his interest in plants and particular succulent plants started at a fairly young age.
Matthew Opel grew up in Westchester County, NY, where he developed an early love of plants, gardening and the natural world.
Tom Glavich is a long time grower of succulent plants. He is one of the co-chairs of the Inter-City Cactus and Succulent show held every August at the LA Arboretum.
Dr. Rebman will go over cactus diversity in the Baja California region and discuss the taxonomic challenges of studying opuntioids, especially chollas (Cylindropuntia) and prickly-pears (Opuntia).
Colin is a retired biology lecturer who is currently an honorary researcher at the Open University, England. He now lives in Scotland with his wife Marjorie, where they enjoy nurturing a varied garden and a substantial succulent collection.
