On April 10th, Peter Walkowiak will discuss growing succulents at Redlands Church of the Nazarene. With over 2,000 plants in his collection, he aims to educate attendees on soil, watering, exposure, and growing techniques through a hands-on demonstration and a Q&A session.

This April meeting is our last general meeting prior to our May show and sale.
Remember, we are not having a May meeting as that Friday evening the meeting hall will be arranged for the show portion.

In just two short months we will be hosting our annual show and sale. This is not only our club’s major revenue stream to maintain operations, but also a huge opportunity to grow our membership and showcase our interests.

It is important to take this time to practice gratitude and appreciation, especially as so many of our fellow LA-based cacti and succulent community members have lost not only their beloved succulent collections, but also their homes and livelihoods.

October 2024 President’s Message
This month’s meeting features a “best dead plant” contest and a talk by Tom Glavich on South African flowering plants. The annual Gates BBQ is on October 19, with a cactus cook-off. A succulent nursery field trip is planned for November 9, requiring a $20 deposit. Board elections are also approaching.

With over 14 years of experience, Elias advocates for grafting as a valuable tool for growers at all levels.
