On November 8th at 7pm PST, the Redlands Church of the Nazarene will host a presentation on growing succulents from seeds and propagation. October 2024 President’s Message

This month’s meeting features a “best dead plant” contest and a talk by Tom Glavich on South African flowering plants. The annual Gates BBQ is on October 19, with a cactus cook-off. A succulent nursery field trip is planned for November 9, requiring a $20 deposit. Board elections are also approaching.

August Speaker | Elias Aparicio

Elias Aparicio, a geologist and member of Gates Cactus and Succulent Society, will be the guest speaker at the club meeting. He will share insights on grafting cactus and succulent plants, highlighting its practical benefits and creative potential. With over 14 years of experience, Elias advocates for grafting as a valuable tool for growers at all levels.

Born and raised in Southern California, Nick developed a love for gardening at an early age. After working in accounting and IT, he pursued his love of gardening by completing the Certificate Program in Gardening and Horticulture through UCLA Extension in 2017.
