Greetings Gates!
I was extremely pleased with the turnout for the first meeting on our new monthly cadence. Based on the attendance, it would be fair to say that the second Friday night of the month works well for most people. Hopefully you all brave the heat and venture out for our August meeting!
We have some exciting announcements planned regarding our annual Cactus Cook-Off and our field trip. This month we will also have some new rescue cacti for sale from a recent outing. Our speaker this month will be Board Member Elias Aparicio. His talk will feature a discussion and live demonstrations on grafting.
It was a pleasure seeing many of you at the Intercity City Show and Sale. Not only was it a fantastic show, but I saw a lot of wonderful plants going home with our members. We are extremely fortunate to live around so many great opportunities to add more cacti and succulents to our collections. As always, I have updated the show and sale list in the newsletter for upcoming events.
