I hope you are all enjoying our exceptionally mild winter! As an Ohio native, the Southern California winters always remind me of why I moved out here.
I hope you are having a wonderful Winter and gearing up for Spring. Some of my Mammillaria are already starting to bloom! (They have not received that memo that it is still Winter).
Last month we had a spirited discussion regarding the show portion of our 2026 Show and Sale. After consideration of members’ opinions, we will continue featuring a judged competition for our Show. As always, we look forward to our members proudly entering their best-of-the-best in their collections. Like all great undertakings and successful events, volunteers are always needed. Please see Phuc and Nicole for volunteer opportunities to make our 2026 Show and Sale a hit!
Please remember that your 2026 membership is now due. In order to qualify for the monthly mini-shows, your membership must be current. This is also the final newsletter that will go out to members who have not renewed for 2026. Please see Jeff or Cami before the start of the March meeting to complete your renewal.
This February we welcome back Woody Minnich as our meeting speaker.
