Greetings Gates!
I hope everyone is safe and you are enjoying time with your family and friends. It is important to take this time to practice gratitude and appreciation, especially as so many of our fellow LA-based cacti and succulent community members have lost not only their beloved succulent collections, but also their homes and livelihoods.
The Board has exciting news! We have recently appointed Camille Gelston to the Treasure position. Camille will be replacing Karen Roholt, who was recently elected to a Board position. We look forward to Camille’s assistance with the club.
Please remember as we move into the new year, your annual club membership fee is due. Your membership dues go towards our speakers, rent, fees, etc. I have attached the renewal form to the end of the newsletter should you wish to fill it out and bring it to the next meeting. You are also welcome to save a copy, complete the fields, and email to me at Gatescactusandsucculent@gmail.com. You can either bring your payment to the next meeting or Zelle using the Gate’s email: Gatescactusandsucculent@gmail.com.
Please note that I have revised multiple show/ sale entries for the upcoming clubs’ events. The edition in this newsletter is the most current. I have also included shows and sales, webinars, and excursion opportunity flyers for events in the near future. Of particular note is our own club’s show and sale in May. We are in great need of volunteers for both the show portion (see Kim) and the sale portion (see Phuc). I look forward to having members offer their assistance when we discuss the May show and sale at this Friday’s meeting.
